Hello everyone! I am going to be building my new PC soon, and I would like some feedback on how to hopefully reduce the price of the system. Here are the main concerns. There are two versions of the monitor I am thinking about buying, both of which are shown in the list below, the more expensive version has a 75hz refresh rate, but is 100 dollars more. Any other recommendations? Thanks, and here is the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RdwwCy

Right off the bat i can say you dont need a 650W power supply.

That 960evo could probably be substituted for a previous 950 or some other NVMe M.2 since the 960 is one of the pricier ones out there to my knowledge.

That keyboard is RGB but if your mouse is red why not just get the $80 version of that keyboard that isnt RGB but red instead? (i actually have the red strafe)

As for the monitor I cant really tell you what you want but 75Hz may not be attainable in some games with a 480 at that resolution.

Hi! Lowering costs is one of my fortes. Here's a list with the same or better performance (and premium feel, to an extent) but as low a price as possible.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vFh6KZ

Most of the tweaks I made are actually a slightly better product for about the same price, like the Cryorig H7 which is much better for $5 more, or the Phanteks P400 TG which is a better S340 Elite. The bulk of the cuts was in the SSD, you really won't notice the difference between this and a 960 EVO, and the GPU. The RX 480 Strix 8GB is $247 right now, can't pass up that deal. This allows you to fit the 75Hz ultrawide in there.

We could potentially still save more money if you were willing to sacrifice aesthetics.

Spend a bit more on an H7, the M9i is the same cooling performance as the 212 EVO, ew

Otherwise great build. Add a mouse like an EVGA Torq X3

oh shit i forgot the mouse :P the m9i is somewhat cheaper to make up for the performance though, at this point you're pretty much paying tax for the performance the 212 evo gives.

Well if you're looking for value, the Gammaxx 400 beats out the H7 and the NH-U12S and is $20-$25.

yeah, but the blue LED fan might look odd with some color themes.

That's fair. The best combo imo is gammaxx + aftermarket fan.
