Hi. I was wondering if you guys monitor your hdd temps. Is ~55°C safe? I posted my HDD temps below as well as what HGST states. I am just worried because my drives reaching ~50ish°C is on idle and still reaches at this temp.

This Image you have poseted says the Enviroment temps can be at 60 degrees Celsius and I would think that a hard drive manufacturer knows that it is hotter in a computer than in the outside of the computer so I would think that that is safe but it might not get you the full life span of the drive. My drives run at roughly the same temp so I think adding a fan or two near the drives would be a safe bet.

Whilst I'm sure it's fine, that would make me uncomfortable. I'd put a fan on them.
