I've seen some where the contacts come off the end of the ssd and there are also some where they come off the side and are shaped more like a gpu. Is there any advantage to one over the other? The only thing that I have been able to find is that the gpu shaped ones tend to be more expensive
Thanks for the help
The ones off the end I'm guessing Are for a motherboard's M.2 slot. The ones that look like a graphics card are either and adpater plate with a M.2 drive bolted on, or in the case of more recent drives (intel 750 and the like) designed from the ground up to plug directly into a PCIe slot.
