Insyde Bios *BEEP CODES*

Guys, My HP g7-2017cl laptop is beeping on startup.

and boots into windows....

 

I tried reinserting the ram into different slots but it never works...

HDD works fine....

 

AMD A6 processor

4 GB RAM (2gb Shared)

BIOS manufacturer: Insyde (F.02)

I think it's just not detecting a device of some sort that it assumed it should off been there. mine did the same thing when i had the third SATA port unabled with no drive plugged into it. I think.

How many times does it beep?

Its quite normal for a PC to beep one or a couple of times when posting.

Any more times than once means an error. Once only is normal

Mhm we had an old PC that would beep 2-3 times on start up. It stopped after a few months, but always worked fine

this. my home server makes an audible beep, and it's common on intel mobos

I had a server with motherboard with what seemed loke a megaphone stuck to it. a quick right hook with a screwdriver soon fixed that one

Ok guys.... I just updated my bios.... The problem seems to have vanished for now...

 

Hope it stays that way... Phew...???
