Don't waste your money on an NVMe one unless you'll be handling big files like with video editing.  It won't speed up your system very much compared to a SATA one.  What matters there is how fast it reads small files.  NVMe drives are usually only around 30% faster there, but twice the price.

It's more for gaming really.

Then stick with a SATA one.  The Samsung one suggested is an excellent choice.

This is good too.  Crucial, Sandisk, Toshiba, Radeon, and Trancend are all good alternatives.  However, Samsung still sits on top.  Of course it's also usually much more expensive.

Thanks for the suggestions, is really appreciated.

As a general rule, I avoid PNY, SiliconPower, and Kingston now.  They've done bait and switches, sending customers drives with asynchronous NAND, which is about 2/3 of the speed.  Some of them are fine of course, and overall they are decent brands, but better safe than sorry.

I'll definitely take that in to account, thanks.
