I already made a topic here (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/72293-game-issues-with-r9-270x-and-amd-8320/) BUT i thinking about to change my motherboard since nobody is seems to be helpful and i can not find any other solution.

As i said i have an asrock 970 extreme 3 motherboard now with an amd fx 8320

if im gonna change it to GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 then will i get better performance?

i would RMA the board, i dont think a mobo can make that big of a diff unless it has something broke

You might get more performance but it would be sort of minimal unless your motherboard truly sucks.

My rig : CPU: Intel i7 4820K   Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI   RAM : Kingston hyper X 2133MHz 2x 8GB total 16GB   CPU-Cooling : Corsair H60 V2   SSD : Intel 335 series 180GB   PSU : Corsair RM series 750w   Chassi : Corsair Graphite 600T   GPU : Asus radeon HD7750 ( gonna upgrade soon )

You might get a better OC, other than that it's in the margin of error zone

there isnt much point in upgrading the mobo unless your wanting better o/c abilities..

id only upgrade for the aesthetics of the ud5 but even then id rather then ud3 (its got a matte black pcb)

Yes i would like to get better overclock abilities too.
Anyway thanks for the answers.

I know this doesnt fit to this topic (and it might be a dumb thing) but i have one more question.

What cause the problem in games like csgo to get low fps if its NOT software related cause there is no other way that i could do anything else like i did it in the last days.

And i read some things about these bottleneck things and im not totally sure what that means but if i overclock my cpu then i will get better gpu usage or better fps in these source engine games or something?

What are your total system specs? If you have pretty current components then its unlikely its a bottleneck. Most people call a bottleneck as a justification to spend more money. If all other games are fine and its just CS:GO try new BETA drivers if available or put it down to the games fault.

Amd Fx 8320 + coolermaster hyper 612s

Asrock 970 extreme 3

2× kingston 8gb ddr3 1600 cl9 (KHX1600C9D3K2/8G)

Gigabyte r9 270x

Kingston ssdnow 200 v+

Coolermaster silencio 550

2 other 7200rmp hdd (1tb+500gb)

I already tired the beta drivers and the normal one too but it changed nothing. The wierd thing that one of my friend had the same gpu as i did (gtx 660 nonti) with an i5 (not sure which one) and he had more then 300fps while i had less then 150 and thats why i changed my gpu cause i didnt like the nvidia card.

I have the same issues in win8.1 to so its not os related and under csgo the gpu and cpu usage is pretty low even in high settings while in other games its normal but as far as i read the game should use the gpu more then 30% ....

news if you are intrested:

i ordered a new motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 rev 3.0) and i will overclock my cpu i mean i can do it with this motherboard too but i can not reach more then 4.1ghz

Anyway does it worth to change to an intel cpu? or i should stay with my amd 8320 and overclock it as much as i can cause i dont want to change anything in the near future (min1year).

Oh i and i will get a watercooling system soon too.

My budget is ok so i could change it to an intel cpu but i dont want to spend my money unnecessarily. ( NTEL Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz 1155 BOX + ASROCK Z77 Extreme4-M that was i was thinking about but im not sure if its worth to change cause the new gen. consoles -> games etc + im using video editing softwares too)
