660TI 2GB ONLY USING 1.5GB MAX

Hi , my problem is, is it normal for my 660ti to only use 1.5GB out of its 2GB, when running very high end games , it has never gone over 1.5GB, im just wondering is it normal

well, dont think this is a problem, what games are we speaking about? crysis 3, yea thats odd, but not many games use more than 1.5 gig vram at 1080p

Yes, i think it's normal

It's like normal RAM, it only uses what it needs

But i may be wrong

Games do necessarily use all of the RAM, all depends on game and resolution.

im running games like battlefield 4 maxed out , and crysis 3 maxed out with aa on , and it only uses 1.5GB vram :(

I think your right :DD 8x msaa uses 1.9 Gb of my vram on crysis 3 , im glad its not a problem with my card thanks guys :DDD

well try something like skyrim with 4k textueres. that will definitly eat your vram. see if it goes beyond 1.5GB

Yeh, normal. Same with system memory. It's there, but if it doesn't need to use it, it won't. Once you get higher res textures running through your game, it will start to eat up more VRAM. :)
