Hi I will be building a pc soon.
Was wondering if someone can tell me if this sound card is compatible with this motherboard

Yes, it will work just make sure that the GPU doesn't make the sound card too hot.

Yeah but I wouldn't buy the sound card if I were you.

The sound card is a excellent source for sound quality but if you feel you can get by with onboard sound I would go that route but if not it is a good match

I  have seen and read conflicting view points on the recon  3 sound card but what I would get is the creative sound blaster z

Might want to take a look if you can get the MSI GD45 or the Asus Maximus VI hero. Those boards have great on board sound aswell. Then you don't have to consider getting a dedicated sound card. 

Incase you really do want a sound card. Personally, I would go for an Asus one. Despite the fact that I have the sound blaster myself, bought this without research done haha. It's not a bad card tho, but.. If I would buy one now, yes Asus!
