I have windows 7, The usb is already reformated, but on linux it shows up as two things, a 57gb drive and a 3gb drive, how do I make it one again. What do you mean by windows install usb and clean install. I'm just trying to do things right the first time.

Windows install usb is same thing as the 4GB usb that you have now, but instead of being able to install linux of it you install windows. It is basically a CD in form of a usb.

For the big usb I suggest you boot up from your 4GB usb to live linux and once up and running connect the 64 usb to the computer. Then run gparted and it should give you the options to delete both, and create one new big partition.

Clean install means that you reformat hdd and install windows as a fresh new copy basically a clean new slate, to avoid some problems.

Hello again, windows is working fine but when I go to install ubuntu, I have a 150gb partiton, after making my swap area I can't make the rest into space for linux because it says unusable, or vice versa. How do I get around this?

EDIT: I figured it out, I just made the partition a simple volume, then I split that into two partition, I probably didnt need to split it but I didn't want to have to restart more then I needed
