no, the freq changes because the base clock fluctuates between 99.8-100.1 sometimes. This is totally normal and nothing to worry about.

So without the OC it would fluctuates nevertheless right?

I should leave all the other voltages at auto? Vcore is enough?

Why did I study Haskell?

I have mine at 4.5Ghz and voltage set to auto with my EVGA Stinger board. Seems to work fine as I haven't had stability issues or anything like that.

Nice! Carefull with high voltages though :/
I was asking because I've been reading about other voltages besides Vcore, cause I'll have to OC an i5 750 from a friend of mine, and the voltages are all manual :( it will be a pain in the ass

Yea, the base clock fluctuates all the time, OC or not.

As far as specific voltages, every chip performs differently, so you gotta see what yours does. Run it at the voltage and freq you want, see if its stable AND what temps youre getting. Adjust voltage to be lower if you don't like the temps, that MAY cause you to have to back off your oc as well, but not necessarily.

ADDITION: I never touch any voltages other than VCore. The rest I leave at auto, but I never leave vcore on auto anymore because my mobo thought that 1.42 was acceptable for my old 3750k, even though it was happy at 1.2  at the same freqs when set to manual.

When in doubt, re-format.

Temps aint the problem! Atm it is stress testing for 30 min, 1.26V core 4.4Ghz, 50-55 degrees in the "Package" with a evo 212, and pretty silent so :D

(Stree testing with Aida64 and monitoring with HWMonitor)

A friend of mine had a 6600k in a z170 A from asus, 4.3ghz with auto vcore, the mobo was putting 1.42V too ahah no idea why

i had the same problem with it fluctuating ive overclocked to 4.6@1.450 on stock intel air cooler and temps never go above 70(worth saying i spent good money on thermal paste) but what ive done to stop it fluctuating is  set my turbo boost to manual and set all my cores to 4.6 in turbo boost and now theres no flutuation even though the base clock changes...
