As @Oshino Shinobu said, it doesn't have to be on the board ans it usually isn't, so you'll need a wireless NIC (network interface card) that connects either through USB or PCIe, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, one of the most common PCIe wireless cards is the TP-Link TL-WDN4800, it gives decent speeds and connectivity at a relatively low price.

I have that card and I don't recommend it if it's for games. I get 200 ping in csgo. I wish I researched more lol. It doesn't support 802.11ac and my router supports 5ghz with that radio channel. So I get 2.4ghz. My router does 2.4ghz with 802.11n which sucks.

Do you have to have wireless networking on your motherboard if your going to connect to the internet without ethernet?

Mini ITX boards tend to have WiFi built in. But larger boards it tends to be only a few. Most likely you will need to install a PCI Express Wireless adapter (Best) or a USB WiFi adapter (Shit).

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
