Is my CPU bottlenecking my computer?

My specs are:

Pentium G4400

MSI GTX 1050 Ti

A B150M motherboard

8GB DDR 4 RAM

I would assume that it's the CPU bottlenecking my computer, but I'm never 100% certain with computers.

The reason I started questioning my computer was because I was expecting it to be able to play CS:GO 1080p low settings @60FPS, but it struggles keeping 60FPS at 720p and even scrubbing through YouTube videos on chrome, something I thought was a simple task. Is it possible that some component is faulty?

Thank you.

Well I mean yea probably. You probably should upgrade to a 6400

Shouldn't be, not much anyways. How's CPU usage in games?

From what I have seen it maxes out completely, as in it hits 100% usage and drops a little bit and then rises again.

A 6400 is overkill (yes, I said it) for a 1050ti

Well I mean it sounds like hes being bottlenecked, and its pentium. maybe time for a upgrade on the cpu

Also is it possible that some feature in Windows 10 is bugging it? When I launched CSGO the first time it said something about the XBox overlay possibly limiting fps.

Hot damn. That's.... worse than I expected

Well, guess @Dawson Wehage might be right, it certainly sounds like a bottleneck. Sure nothing else is eating through your CPU while you're playing? A clean reinstall might fix things. Otherwise, a 6100 might be a good idea

I just put it together a few days ago, so there shouldn't be anything.

Unless discord and Razer synapse are CPU hogs.

Is all the CPU usage coming from the CS:GO process itself?

I'll have to check that, but I think it is.

That is something you will disable in the xbox menu login and go to game DVR and turn it off this will help with fps issues.

My game says used to say that too, I don't play CS anymore, but when I fixed it, there wern't any changes.  The only thing was that sometimes my fps would be capped at 30.  I fixed it by going into the settings, and turn v-sync on and off again.

So update in case someone is still reading this.

It seems that my CPU utilization reaches 100% and fluctuates between 100 and 98 as long as the game is open.

Does this mean that the CPU is not good enough and I should upgrade ASAP?
