Is it possible to mod/paint/dye a GTX titan to something like:

titan1j.th.jpg

and

I wouldn't do it, but it should be possible (just very hard).

the shroud is aluminum so just buy some pant that works on metal, try to find something that is at least somewhat heat resistant.

The stand is indeed made of metal but I wouldn't drive my car over a bridge made of it.

The Titan seems pretty easy to take apart aside from a couple odd screws. Should be enough to take the pieces you want off to paint them.

You could probably get it anodized. But you would have to take it apart first.

You wouldn't want to do it. Part of it is made out of aluminium and wait for it.....*drum roll* magnesium alloy. So if you want to paint with other substance you are unaware of and gets a reaction. Good Luck :)

It's risky business but you can do it, of course. Anodize it in red, it will be ballin' :D. Otherwise you could paint it, but put as thin layer of paint as possible.

If you want it looking like those photo's your going to have to anodize, painting will not come out anything like those pictures.

Jayster is right! You'd have to anodize it for it to look like that. Which I'm pretty sure you can't do yourself, and will probably be expensive. If you go through with it, post it on the forum.

I don't understand all the scared people. As seen in TTL's vid, it is really easy to take apart.

There's two ways: Regular paint and *maybe* anodizing

I say maybe because not every aluminium is anodizable, and I don't know what alloy it is or if it even is pure alu (like JakeGFX said)

Anodizing IS possible to DIY but good result isn't guaranteed and it's not very easy.

Painting is a much better option and easily feasible. You won't need special heat resistant paint like mentioned in this thread :)

That's cute :3

I reckon why not! If you've got the equipment and you can go ahead and try it.

Don't forget to show us your results ;)

I don't know if you have seen this before but there are tons of people using this stuff for pretty much everything from mice an keyboards to power supply's AND video cards. "http://www.overclock.net/t/993381/white-carbon-fiber-g500-mod-walkthrough" With a little searching you'll find they have a lot of different options, not just the carbon fiber. Now it wouldn't look exactly like your picture but it would probably be the easiest way (without any risk of damage) to change its appearance. Here is someones video card "http://i.imgur.com/erdnp.jpg"
