Hello, I have just purchased the Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 gaming for a video editing pc and it only has 1x hdmi, 3x display port and 1x vga. The issue is that the two monitors I purchased which are the LG 24mp88hv-s https://www.mwave.com.au/product/lg-24mp88hvs-24-full-hd-ips-led-neo-blade-iii-monitor-ab80694 . They only have 2x hdmi ports and 1x d-sub. Im not very keen on using the d-sub port so what should I do. Should I connect the second monitor with a display port to hdmi adapter because i've already bought everythng and I don't know what I am going to do.

You can either go DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI to HDMI. Whichever you choose and is cheaper, but you need to be aware of the types of DVI if you go that route, so If you don't know too much about the types of DVI, just get a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

Get a DVI to HDMI adapter. Your video card has a DVI connector, not a VGA connector as you posted.

Any just normal adapters? If you used that, then a faulty cable will result in you having to specially get that cable, or get a normal HDMI + adapter. Or more importantly, you can't just "borrow" the HDMI cable off it.

I'm not sure if your monitor outputs audio, but keep in mind that by using the DVI output, you don't get any audio like DisplayPort and HDMI give.

And although I haven't checked, DVI is behind HDMI and DisplayPort, so you may miss out on some features even if you have to adapt them down from DisplayPort to HDMI.
