Is it 2.5 inch bay for SSD and 3.5 inch bay for HDD?

2.5 is for 2.5 drives and 3.5 is for 3.5 drives.

 

You can use hdds in 2.5 bays.

mechanical drives come in both 2.5 & 3.5. SSDs only 2.5. usually 2.5 mechanical drives are found in laptops but i use them coz they're quiet

SSDs are commonly used in 2.5 and mechanical HDDs are typically 3.5 but as said above they can also be in 2.5

I'm trying to make sure I have enough bays for harddrives for a new build.

2.5” SSD Slots	2

You can get brackets to habe 2.5" drives to fit into 3.5" bay

How many drives do you think you will need? when i run out of drive space i just buy a bigger one and archive the old. i know people who keep old drives running with 6+ drives. noisy AF.

I was thinking about 1/2 SSD for Windows and I can have up to 4 HDD for storage. I'm browsing to see what's available.
