Does the ic diamond performance degrade overtime?

So as the title suggests, i was thinking of getting ic diamond as the thermal paste for our family laptop. How long will it last before it degrades a lot and i have to reapply?

Most pastes these days don't degrade very much, the IC Diamond they should last at least a few years. However just be careful using IC diamond cause they can scratch the dies and surfaces.

I would say they should not be any different really these days.
