I've been planning on doing some sort of "Scrapyard" challenge with a friend of mine for a while, where we try to build working PC with as little money as possible (totally not an idea we got from Linus' videos). We've decided that it would be best if we totally DIY'd the case, but before we start doing that, we had a few questions:

1. Are there any materials you should NEVER use in your case? (We actually plan on using some old aquarium we got from a local petstore for free)

2. Where/how can we get a start button for the PC that turns it on and off?

Thanks in advance.

Go to a electronics hobby shop. All you need is a wire and a button that jolts a pin on the mobo. I've done this before. I'd say not to use carpet or anything really flammable in a PC case

idk

any button will work you can use female jumpers and then just twist to a button since all you have to do is short the connection to turn on the computer.

and any material will work just be careful if its metal to make sure the motherboard doesn't touch it using standoffs

Thanks. Now I only need to find some wires. I'm probaly going to DIY the button too with a 3D printer.
