New parts help

So I want to upgrade my processor from an AMD to an Intel Kaby Lake CPU and I would like to keep my existing RAM if I can.

I don't know what motherboard to buy yet, would like some help deciding on that too.

No, you need new RAM. The fastest CPU you can get that still support DDR3 RAM fully is Haswell, i7 4790k

You have DDR3 RAM and you can't use it with KabyLake

I mean, he could "upgrade" to X79 but it's not worth it. Get a Haswell i7. Even better if it's used.
