So I recently upgraded from a GTX 950 2GB to a GTX 1060 6GB, and this problem persisted between both GPUs. Whenever I'm in a very large public match, my frames are extremely low. Low 40s-30. I used to be able to play it just fine and it all of a sudden stopped working. I figured maybe my settings aren't set up properly. Could anyone help me set up my settings?

Specs: AMD-Fx 8320 Eight-core (3.5 GHz, Overclocked to 4.0)
GTX 1060 6GB

600 Watt Power supply

2 1 TB HDD

Thanks for the help guys. :)

You have a cpu bottleneck. I also have a 1060 6gb and my cpu is the fx-6300 (oc 4.4ghz) and i also have a bottleneck. Use something like msi afterburner to monitor your cpu and gpu usage while gaming, you probably find out that your cpu is at 70-100% usage and your gpu is at 50-90%.

You could try lowering your graphics settings to see if that makes any difference. Also see if your ram is filling up, 8gb isn't always enough for gta when you go over 1080p resolution.

I turned my resolution down a bit and set the settings down to all high. Runs much better now.

Make sure resolution scaling isn't on. Fullscreen it if possible (even borderless window can decrease performance in this game). Turning down the advanced settings like FXAA, TXAA, AA etc.. as they kill your GPU. The advanced setting screen has a bar for vRAM as well if I recall correctly. Try turning down settings like draw distances and population density to decrease the load.
