so guys, tomorrow i wanted to take apart my insanely expensive system as on of the fans has a noise issue, do i need to wait instead and get a static wristband, or can i just put it on a table as i'll likely be holding the case like every 10 seconds and it has rubber feet, also if i do figure out which little shit faced fan it is making the noise can i fix it, thanks

You want an anti-static wristband really (:
You're probably going to be okay without one, but it's always good practice. Also, attempts to protect yourself against static can sometimes be dangerous, I was once earthed properly and touched my GPU, felt a shock through my arm. The GPU and PCIE slot on the motherboard were dead.

Sig under construction.

as long as you can remember to touch the psu every once in a while, you shouldn't really need one, but if it's super expensive, it would be better to. It's essentially just like wearing gloves when cleaning a toilet to prevent getting sick, but you can still wash your hands and you'll be fine. (well that was a weird analogy)
