Thing to consider while purchasing ram

I already have a 8 GB ram on my laptop, I want to buy another 8 GB memory. 

Frequency = 1600 MHz

DDR 3 8GB ram

Tested Voltage 1.35 V

Should I consider any other parameters?

Does company matter?

Look up your laptop and see if it supports more memory, and if the ram is upgradeable or soldered on. Also Look up what size, and if you are adding ON to what you already have, it absolutely HAS TO be the same ram that is already in the system. If you are just buying a 16 gig kit, then feel free to buy whatever as long as it fits.

The 3 things that must match are Cas latency, Timings and Voltage.
