GPU usage issues

i have been having a major issue with my gigabyte gtx 1060 3gb windforce paired with the i5 6500 and 8gb ddr4 fury ram.

my gpu usage in most games is sitting around 30-50% on 1080p, i have tried swapping out ram for 16gb, i have tried changing the settings in nvidia control panel nothing has worked, i even updated my bios to the latest verison.

 

This should not be happening with an i5 6500, can anyone help me solve this issue ?

my motherboard is asus h110m-a M.2 with a 500w evga power supply.

What is your cpu usage in games ? What games are you playing ? What fps are you getting ? Is Vsync on or off ? What is your cpu and gpu temperatures while gaming ?

My cpu usage in games is 90-100% most of the time, i am playing games like gta 5, overwatch, bf4, rainbow six siege. vsync is off in every game, my cpu temps usually hang around 50-65 while gpu hangs around 50-70 while gaming

Sorry i didn't quite catch that. Do you mean like to put my Pc specs etc ?

Check Nvidia control panel (Manage 3D settings) and make sure Vsync is off there. Download malware bytes and scan your Pc.

Would appear the cpu is the issue. Join the club.

Without further information this sounds like a CPU bottleneck. If even Overwatch uses more than 90% CPU ...
