i have been trying to wrap my head around this for quite a while im trying to figure out what sli spacing my motherboard takes i have already checked the manual and it doesnt help me out one bit so if anyone can take a look at the motherboard to give me a hand that would be great http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5496#ov

link takes ages to load what motherboard is it?

gigabyte's website is being 1960s again, but after loading for 57 years i found a picture on the page that shows two GPUs intalled in slot 2 (topmost x16 slot) and 5 (the second x16 slot, between the two legacy slots), so my guess is, like the majority of motherboards, that's how gigabyte suggests you to do it.

 

EDIT: also, that means you need the 3-slot high bandwidth bridge. not the one to squeeze your GPUs together in a toaster configuration, but the one one size bigger.
