laptop Laptop for coding <= 250$

Im looking for a small-ish laptop that i can take on the go or on the couch to use for my Java studies.

 

Theres a good amount of cheap laptops on amazon so if you could give me a hand id be very grateful.

 

The screen should be as big as possible for the price, the battery life as high as possible and it should be quiet.

 

1080p if possible. Thank you!

Personally I use a old thinkpad x61 for coding and all my friends use newer or older thinkpads. Also are you forced to use windows or can you use arch,debian,ubuntu,gentoo,etc

look for a older used business class laptop. A T420 or T420s is a good place to start, their build quality will wreck 1k laptops.

You might want to repaste the CPU.
