Storage upgrade

i want to upgrade my laptop Dell Inspiron 15 5000(no touchscreen) storage to 2TB. Should i choose SSD or HDD? and what brand should i buy if my budget is only around 100$. i dont know anything in this kind of thing.

If you need 2TB of storage, you'll need to go with a mechanical hard drive with that budget. You aren't going to find an SSD with anywhere remotely close to that amount of storage within your budget. Where are you located?

Problem with that is I'm pretty sure there are no sub $100 2TB 2.5 inch drives tho...
