Installing an SSD

I'm about to add an SSD to my build. To start using it once it's installed in my case, is it literally just good to go without any file storage formatting, etc?

Usually they are good to go without any file formatting unless its second hand, then you may need to get rid of old files but that's still unlikely.

You have to make a file system to use a drive.
