Well, after yesterday's thread I have now adapted my build to be perfect in my eyes. I wanted a $600 budget, but the extra is just for the SSD which I want as a boot drive for windows.

Any tips? Horrible mistakes I made? I'm going to be picking up a CPU Cooler later on, and have two fan splitters to support the three chassis fans in the k5x, as well as the future Cryorig H7.

It is for gaming, mostly CS and Overwatch, branching to BF1 and maybe other Triple A titles out there. I want to finally feel the 60fps rather than what I get on my awful laptop.

I might want to branch into light streaming, maybe youtube here and there. If I do this, I possibly will replace the 6500 with a 6600K or maybe even Ryzen when it comes out, and for youtube probably grab a 3-4 TB HDD for storing videos.

Thanks for the assistance!

You've picked everything in a pretty balanced build. As for going with a 6600k I'd say don't bother at this stage, you'll not only need to factor in the extra cost of the cpu but a z170 motherboard as well, by the time you've done that you'd be at $700 and blown your budget. Gaming wise you're not going to see any noticeable improvement from doing so really.

@it_dont_work My current financial situation is about zilch. All the money I have at this point in time is going to be spent on 4 months of car insurance because as I just turned 16, I got a new car and I have to pay it all on my own. I just got hired as a host at O'Charley's so I'm going to actually have income now, which is why I'm taking the initiative on the PC. Can you say "Q1 2017 Goal"?

The only reason I would choose to change to the 6600k is because I've heard there can be issues streaming on a 6500, but it is a theoretical that I would actually stream at all. Maybe a cheap Ryzen chip would help me in this :D.

Personally I'd still keep it where it is, most issues people come to streaming (kind of anecdotal from reading the forums) seem to from from internet connection issues or or poor system settings and optimization.

Get your base system going, buy decent peripherals and a monitor. Give yourself a good long term platform to upgrade from when you can

Get a 2nd stick of RAM. If you absolutely can't afford it now, drop the hard drive. You can always add that later.

Why do you need a 1TB drive?  Grab one later on when you need it.

I don't trust Asus lower end boards. Try and find an AsRock, MSI or Gigabyte board for a similar price.
