Are you overclocking the Q6600? Because, IIRC, there's not a lot of difference between the two if the Q6600 is overclocked.

 

If you're in a locked BIOS, you can always do the tape mod to make the CPU run faster.

is the Q9650 even worth upgradeing to? im trying to maybe get 5-10 more fps on gta..im using a Q6600 and a evga gtx 750ti. and right now im getting about 20fps avg on gta.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.
