How temperature affects skiing

Hi, it's currently about -4 C where I live but in a few days the temperature will drop to about -14 C. Now I want to go skiing, but I'm new to it, so I have a question: will the temperature make any difference to my skiing experience and should I wait fot the temps to go down?

Colder it is, more ice will there be mixed in with snow. Which means snow is light, harder and can take more sunlight before covering parts start to melt. For pure speed and control colder weather is better. Its your skin which has problem when temps drop.
