Posted January 1, 2017 I am looking to buy a new GPU in order to run my brand new 4k monitor I got for Christmas. But which one? I need it to run mid-tier games such as CS: GO and Rocket League at 4k. I really do not want to spend more than $450. Any suggestions?
 Posted January 1, 2017 4k? My current setup - i5/4670k at stock (will OC when I have the machine back) and a 1070 and I can push CSGO max settings at 4k 150-250 FPS on Dust2. I got no idea about RL though, but keep the 1070 in mind - it smashes games regardless of resolution lmao idk
 Posted January 1, 2017 A GTX 1070 would suit you well. CS:GO and Rocket League are pretty light games, but running them at 4K will probably require a GTX 1070 to run smoothly above 60FPS. With a GTX 1060 you would probably end up getting around 45FPS. You might be able to get by with a 1060 for $200-250 but a 1070 would DEFINITELY run those games at that resolution for around $380-430. Happy New Year!
