Just got the HyperX Cloud II and I've been pretty chuffed with them for the last day or so, both in comfort and audio quality (I'm no audiophile). However after going into Teamspeak with some friends I noticed there is no way of having clear and lag free playback of my own voice through the headset as I had in my previous Turtlebeach XL1s.

This is quite a deal breaker for me due to a speech impediment I have, and I've tried the various workarounds but they haven't been satisfactory.  Does anyone have some alternatives at a similar price point they could recommend?

Btw I'm in the UK, the HyperX currently retails for about £70 ($US86)

Cheers

Haven't used playback software so didn't there was a difference between manufacture's solutions.

If you buy some open headphones you should be able to hear your own voice without playback required. Although other unwanted sounds may leak in and out so a quiet environment is required. Interested?

Is the budget 70£ or could you go higher?

It's built in to the Turtlebeaches and I think its a feature on more expensive headsets like the astro A40, but they are out of my price range

I prefer the closed-ear but I'm open to other recommendations.

I could go a little higher if it's a worthwhile investment! but I don't want to got above £100 realistically.

i have had g430 from logitech ... you can either use it normally with 3.5 mm jacks or connect them into usb converter which automatically replays audio when you talk ( so basically only when you plug thwm in through usb which makes sense )

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

RAM: 16GB HyperX RAM

CPU: R5 3600

Motherboard: ASRock B450 Fatal1ty gaming K4

OS: Win 11 Pro 64-bit

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out!

Do you know that they will play back my voice natively?

I think i might be leaning towards the studio headphone/modmic combo, although i was a little underwhelmed in the recent LTT vid on the modmic

The point with having open headphones is that you'll hear your own voice like you hadn't headphones on (expect you'll have headphones).

Otherwise you'll have to use Window's playback.

And i do agree on the modmic. A new iteration for what? Seems aa little bit overpriced for the quality of the audio, way to much bass. But the vmoda boompro doesnt work on those headphones so :/

If anyone else has recommendations for closed ear headphones as well though, I welcome them
