Issues Reinstalling Windows

Recently I upgraded my computer, I have been having a lot of issues with the OS so I attempted to reinstall. Something went wrong the first time so now I am unable to sign into my computer or do anything. I tried recreating my ISO file but I keep getting this error now when I go to try and install it:

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can not be installed on GPT disks."

This error didn't show up before the first time I tried installing so I'm not sure what I did wrong. Whenever I try to boot windows though from the previous install it either gives me a blue screen or gives me an error telling me to restart. Never had any of these issues before so quite confused on why they are happening now.

Sorry but how would I do this, I'm a little inexperienced with this.

when you select your partition, during the setup, you know ?

Just delete the hard drive's (or ssd's if it is an ssd) partitions and then create a new one or simply click next to install on it

why all the disks show, hit delete for every partition

Do you even want me to delete the OEM partition and the thumb drive ISO? Sorry if that is a stupid question just wanted to be sure.

Hey I'm gonna try and buy a new drive and see if this fixes the problem. Do you think I should get a 256gb ssd or a 1tb hard drive? Which would be better, I'm a little iffy on the storage capacity of the ssd but speed is really attractive.

@smokefest & @Electronics Wizardy, thanks so much for the help! Just got my new SSD, I ended up going for 525gb crucial (borrowing some $ because I felt I needed the space). Windows runs perfectly, must have been an issue with the old drive. Also, now that I have an SSD I can't even imagine going back, like holy sh!t. Thanks so much for the advice. Also for those that care, I was able to make my old hard drive useful, I am using it as a secondary drive in my PC for storing non important files. I had to format it from MBR to GPT because windows didn't like it in MBR apparently but after that it works fine. The issues are still noticeable on it but it works fine for storing old word documents etc.

To summarize, got an SSD and it is amazing, solved all issues. Thanks!
