The standoffs are meant to be on the case, not your motherboard. then you place the motherboard so it lines up with the standoffs and use the screws(should be in a bag and labelled in the the little booklet) to screw the motherboard into the standoffs.

I think I messed up explaining this, I put the thing on the back of the motherboard when it is in the case and I screwed the 4 holes. However, the screws feel like they won't tighten anymore and there is still a bit of wiggle room.
