Kawasaki KFX 450R A Good Starting Four Wheeler.

Snapy1

Im soon going to get a new quad ( i have road my quads before at my friends and what not but nothing more powerful than a 200cc) I am mainly scared I am not going to handle the power of the KFX 450R, yes I know you get used to it. Should I go with something smaller like a raptor 350. Oh and I weigh around 116Lbs., I am 14 and my height is 5' 2" (yes i know im short for my age dont judge me ;) )

Wait do you guys think.

PS: I would prefer people with experience with these quads, but you may answer anyways if you do not.

No offense, but this is a tech forum, and by nature we know tech. If you want to know more about quadbikes, try a quad/offroading forum.

Again, I don't mean to offend. I am just saying that you will be able to get more help in other places.

I fully understand that, but I still would suggest that you try out a quad bike forum in tandem with the LTT forums. Hey, why not get some better knowledge on the subject?

Nevermind.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.

I learned to ride on a kfx 400, was like an 03 or something. It's overkill for your size, I was ~165 pounds 5'9'' when I was learning, and it was all I could do to control it. You'll wanna look into something like it, keep in mind it's going to be very very peppy

see if you can find a 4 stroke ~250-350,

First (and only) quad I ever used was a 600-something, and I didn't use it on level terrain or a track either. Easy. You need to know your limits, engine size shouldn't matter too much. My cousins (girl, 16 and boy 13) use this one as well, they have no issues with it :P

I learned to ride on my fathers Suzuki 400R, and after that he bought me a LTR? 450

I was 14 at the time I think, plus, we went riding every weekend with like 5-6 of ours friends, so it got put to its use :P

I don't actually remember the exactly model, just that it was a suzuki and a 450.

I was thinking about getting a 700R, or maybe changing the intake on my 450 but I haven't really decided yet.

I honestly think you should be fine with a 450, as long as you aren't cocky.

Just ride normally, don't be stupid.
