ok so i have an 900w PSU and am currently running 2x660 ti in sli and it works fine.

i bought some cables on th internet being 6pin male to 6pin male so i can run my third GPU but when i plug this wire in the PC turns on for a split second then turns off and will not come back on.

i have tested the wire draw [eth][eth][eth]  <<< imagine this being a 6pin

  (With Voltmeter)               [1.3v][12v][12v]

i have no clue why this is doing it as i test a good one and get 12v all the way through lik im suppose too!

That might be an issue. Check with a volt meter that all the pins go to the same pins as the current cables in your computer. It's quite possible that the cable has a different pinout. If the pinout is different you can make it compatible by moving the pins around within the connector.

Also please consult your power supply's instruction manual to make sure you plugged it into the right socket. The pinouts and voltages might be in there too.

Yes (to check that the pinout is the same on your new cables as your old).

i do not have a original 6pin to 6pin but do have a 6 to 8? will that be the same? 8pin being the one that plugs into the PSU

Look at the pinout for the 8-pin and rom that you can infer whether the pinout for the new cable is the same.

I'm fairly certain that if it's a no-name unit with no reviews on the internet that I can find, that it is not, in fact, capable of outputting 900W. Also, why are you triple SLIing 660s...?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
