As we have established, our max specs for T420, is... 1GB VRAM 4200m, 2860 4c/8t 2.5 - 3.6 GHZ CPU, 16 GB RAM

Now I have the question, where do I get the CPU, i am lowering my price down to a 2670qm though. So... where to get one on the cheap? And is there a performance gap between 2670qm, 2860qm, 2540m, and 2520m?

Ebay for cpu's. Performance between the different quadcores is within 15%. Its just clock speed difference. The non quad cores are much slower if your using lots of threads.

Could the dual cores (2520 and 2540) still play CS:GO and then turn around and do a voice over?

Your pushing it. You probably can with quick sync though or a low quality preset. Your still gpu limited though.

Yea, I am talking in a config with a 120 / 240GB SSD (RAID if possible), 8GB RAM, no GPU, and 720p, could either dual core consistently hit 40?
