Weird PC waking issue.

So whenever I put my PC to sleep it will randomly turn on after a little bit or like 14 hours later. It's very strange and I think it only happened after I did a clone of Windows from my HDD to my SSD.

Also ran into this issue a fair amount myself, it never seems to be able to make it 24 Hours without starting back up to login screen. My assumption was that it was my chrome notifications from things such as facebook going off and waking my pc up.

Try using " powercfg -lastwake " in cmd next time it does it. It's not a fix but should point you to what's causing it to wake.

I'll try it cause the notification thing didn't solve it

Not sure if anyone found resolution for this but it literally just happened while I was in the room, -lastwake showed me this:

Back in they good old days whenever I woke my PC it'd bluescreen.

In your case though, it's probably just a notification

After a quick search around (Just got back from work) it seems to be that windows likes to wake a computer from sleep when it wants to install/download updates, as well as for things like automatic defragging and such, try turning things related to that off in taskmanager. Going to try what was suggested in this reddit thread as it seems like it could be the issue.

Have you already checked task scheduler for anything that might wake the PC?

 

Go to computer management (right click on start button), then selct tesk scheduler... then expand the tree to see task scheduler library. Go through the things in that list and see what the triggers say and disable anything that you think might interfere.
