DayZ Optimization

Distortion

Well im sure everyone who ever played Arma 2 knows how badly optimized it is, and a lot of people know how to fix this. I googled it all over tried multiple methods. Not one had worked for me.

Here are my config files:

If you ever find your performance drops when you've been playin for a while, you can flush the cache by pressing LShift + minus on keypad and then typing "flush".

Mouse smoothing should be at 0

prerendered frames should be at 0

ArmA  can't really be well optimized. The engine itself has a lot of problems.

Other than anything said in this thread, there's not much you can do to further optimise it. Standalone is likely to be released within the end of 2013 (that's what you said last time, Rocket. -.-) and it'll run smooth as butter compared to the mod thanks to the "network bubble".

Yea there really is not much you can do unfilled the standalone. But I really want to get some good frames.

BTW he changed it to around Feb of next year
