Hey guys, I got a brand new SSD from a friend and I'm not sure what to initialize it as do I initialize it as MBR or GPT, I am using this SSD for pure storage of video games. According to my memory, I should initialize it as GPT but I'm just here to ask and double check.

If it's your boot drive it doesn't matter.  If you want to boot from GPT then you need to enable UEFI.  I generally use MBR unless it's a really large drive >2TB and then I would use GPT.  Reason for that is that I have better portability with older systems although most modern OSes have tools to read GPT.

Well GPT is newer and should be better.

For some reason I'm still using MBR lol
