Hi, my previous plan was to build an eGPU set up for my old laptop. But, I ditched the plan due to the shortcomings that were inevitable, thanks to the people that pull me out from that set up. Now, I'm saving for my M-ATX build. So, here it is..

PCPARTPICKER link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pNp3WX

1. Budget & Location

I'm in Malaysia, so i'll be using MYR for my currency. My budget was around MYR2000-MYR2500.

2. Aim

If possible, I would like to play my games at 1080p. Which an upgrade from my low-medium settings back in laptop. I'm very interested to play the Rise of Tomb Raider game. The gameplay and the settings were beautiful. I often watch the gameplays from youtube. I'm repeatedly amazed by the game. Other than that, mostly need for speed games and some video editing usage. I hope the parts match to my needs.

3. Monitors

Well, I already have a monitor it was 1320 x 768 resolution. For now it's fine. I will upgrade it to 1080p monitor in the future. Hopefully.

4. Peripherals

As for peripherals, I already have a gaming keyboard and mice. I already bought a pc case.It was a cube case from Segotep.

Here's the link to the PC case review, https://www.fredmerc.com/2016/11/segotep-π-cube-micro-atx-chassis-short-review/

I like the cube case look. However, I bought the case in white colour, but I did manage to put a carbon fiber skin around itxD. I do love carbon fiber looks.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I always love pc gaming. Back then, I never knew there was a pc master race subculture. I thought it was just a trendy hashtags that pops out once in while in social media. When I realized there are people who builds awesome PC themselves, that is when I start subscribing to tech youtubers, ie LinusTechTips, jayztwocents, paul'shardware and others.

So, any replies and feedback about my build is highly appreciated.

Thank You:)

If that's your main goal for now spring for an RX 470, it can easily do 60fps at high+ settings

Also using VSR you should be able to run games at a higher resolution than your display, not too big a difference in how it looks though

I have never even consider an AMD video card before, I'm still not familiar with AMD. If I'm not mistaken, RX470 is slightly more expensive than the 1050Ti.

Just did a price check on both video cards at my local online shop.

The price differences is quite big. Out of curiosity, do the RX470 worth MYR200 more than the 1050 Ti?.

Hard to say when we don't really understand your currency to know if that's a lot. I think @xAcid9is also Malaysian if I'm not mistaken. Maybe he can answer if he is

According to Mrs Google, she said that MYR200 equals to 44.62 USD.

Does that help?

Okay then. I will look into it. Still in the "saving money" stage thoughxD

I did notice something. The price either of the video cards do fluctuate, it does so incrementally. Maybe it is due to the promotions, discount rates, so on and so on. Should I buy the video card first, or other parts(ie CPU, Motherboard, ...)?

If the difference is only 4 decent Pizzas, then ya easily worth it for the long run, that's not to mention DX12/Vulkan for the future, DOOM is very well optimized for Vulkan, probably a rare case, but still

1050ti 74fps
RX 470 119fps

Woah!

That's lot of fps for RX470.
