Which software for Sapphire RX480 ?

Hi.

Some probably know that i did get a faulty card and replacement one just came in. Its about 1.5 hours now and it look fine(at least no fatal crashes.).

My question is , im getting 70-75 C in Overwatch and around 200Fps while playing it. I m coming from a nvidia card and this seem a bit high for me. Is it because fans not working till 60 C ?

And my other question, which software should i use for changing fixed fan speed or things like that. Not overclocking, i just want a normal (hoping that this one is not faulty too) card to play my games with.

I installed Trixx with the faulty card before and it might be the reason why card got f.ed up ? So whats your advice guys. Thanks

1. 70-75 is normal at load

2. MSI afterburner can change fan speed

Thanks for your advice. If its normal should i change it ? I dont want it to be broke and dont have any graphics card for 1 more week at least :/

BTW HWMonitor figures are like this.

TEMP :47min 77max

FANS:0min 1105max

Graphics Clocks: 515min 1342max

Memory Clocks:300min 2000max

Voltages: 0.002V min 1728131.250V max ????

What the hell is wrong with voltages :D I am not running a nuclear reactor.

Anything below 90 Degrees is perfectly fine. I used to have a 960 which ran at 53 Degrees at max load and 23% fan speed, so the high temperatures did freak me out at first, but you'll get used to it. 70-75 is absolutely fine, and high temps could also come from a hotter environment. Now even though I'm from Africa, I live in Norway, and that's probably why my temps are low, because of the heat being non-existent here.

You can use MSI afterburner to change both fan speed, and fan curve. Download link here: https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner

Yeah that might be it , summers are hot in here too (Around 40 Degrees + Humidity). Currently in winter and room temp is around 24 C . Its fine as you said i think. Thanks for your answer.

Those temps are normal, though if you want to save power/run your GPU at a lower temp you can use a framerate limiter. Your rx 480 is giving you around 200 fps which you can't even see because most likely your monitor is only 60 hz, so basically your graphics card is wasting processing power and rendering frames that are essentially useless for you.

Check the refresh rate of your monitor and you can limit the framerate in AMD's Crimson drivers to whatever refresh rate your monitor is at. That way you save power and run your GPU cooler and quieter for no difference in visual quality.

Having it always at 200 fps may also result in some screen tearing, too, (just search it up if you don't know what it is) that makes the gameplay look worse, so it's just all around better to limit the frame rate :).

The Nitro has a tiny heatsink compared to the GTR or MSI Gaming 480s, so expect higher temps. 75c is still nothing to worry about.

Thanks . And one more question. Does anything wrong with HWMonitor Voltage value ?

Voltages: 0.002V min 1728131.250V max it shows.

I would use Afterburner or GPU-Z to monitor your voltage. HWMonitor acts weird a lot of times.
