I'm building a case! Any advice or things to consider?

JJS

Hia, I'm building a small storage unit / case for my design technology project and would like to get as much information on that matter as possible. I am currently in the design process. I have already read: the micro-atx addendum / mini-itx addendum as well as the thermal advantaged chasis guide. Any tips?

Make sure to have good cable management and space for CPU coolers.

Edit: I thought you were making a computer case :)

well I am. The idea is that there are two separate compartments one for storage and one to build a computer in. The PC sits in the upper compartment (with a nice little viewing window on top) .I thought I'd have the motherboard tray on a rail so that you just build the PC on top of the tray and just slide it in.

Fire resistant/retardant materials are a must.  Sheet metal or appropriately rated plastics.  Wood, or heaven forbid, other combustibles are not acceptable materials.
