What motherboard would fit please

Hello, I currently have a z87-G43 (blue) with an i5-4670k, and 2x4GB of DDR3 vengeance Ram at 1600mhz. 

 

I want to get 16GB of ram and will most likely be getting vengeance LED ram, 2x8GB at 3000mhz as it fits with my planned build. 

 

My motherboard has a 1150 socket and says it only supports ram up to DDR3 at 1600mhz so I need to upgrade it, however I don't necessarily feel that I need to upgrade my processor at the moment. 

 

Is is there any mother board that supports the i5-4670k 1150 socket and also DDR4 3000mhz 16gb ram?

No, because no motherboard exists that will support an LGA 1150 CPU and DDR4 RAM.

 

You will have to go with Skylake or X99 to use DDR4.

You should just get another 2x4 RAM set with the same model and you'll be good to go!

No there isn't. If you're going to stay with your LGA1150 CPU then you're also bounded to DDR3 RAM.

A similar replacement for that CPU would the i5-6600k. But on the other hand the i5-4670k is still a pretty good CPU. If you should replace it depends on what you want to do with your system.

get yourself a second 2x4 kit like you have now, or go all out and get a similar 2x8 kit for the 24GB experience :P

 

the 4670k only supports DDR3, and it is honestly too recent to recommend you to replace it.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I may just try and get 2 extra sticks of my current ram. 

 

Ill look on ebay for some cheap deals!
