so I just built my brand new computer and everything works. but when i plug in my ethernett it doesnt find any network and it says there is no driver.. i looked on msi's website to find the driver and I dont know which exact one to get for my computer to work with the internett. someone please help

find the lan driver or network driver

It should.

 

For the first link you may need to go into the device manager and update the drivers from there, if you are not sure how to do this, try the 2nd link, it should have a setup program that installs the drivers for you.

all my computer has is windows and thats it. how do I install the drivers?

Right click and extract the content of the files to a folder.

 

Then depends on what did Asus included in the file, for the file in the first link you would need to right click on the windows start icon and select device manager, then look for the network adapters section, you should see a device with an exclamation mark, right click and select update driver, then it will ask for the location of the driver, browse to the folder where you extracted the files and that should be all.

im coming from a mac so its all kinda weird for me. so i put the flash drive with the driver into my pc... than just drag those files onto the desk top and double click ?

You can drag the files, but don't double click, you need to use the right button on your mouse.

If you can, try to find an executable driver installer. Also, this should be moved to Troubleshooting.
