System freeze :(

Hey guys, I have this problem with my computer, that every time I open MSI afterburner its freeze my whole computer? I've tried to reinstall windows 10 with USB, I've tried taking the graphics card's out and in, I've tried an older version of MSI Afterburner, and that didn't work too... Does anyone know why?? :(( I hope you can help me!

What i've triad.

Reinstalling windows 100%

Running MSI afterburner as admin

Takeing out my graphic cards

Trying one graphic only

Trying one card only in slot 2

Trying one ram in slot 1 only

Trying one ram in slot 2 only

Tryed disable virus program while opening the apps

Other graphic drivers

Updateing Bios on my motherboard

Downclocking the GPU's

Note!: I have windows 10 Home NOT windows 8.1

 

AND yes, i know i can just uase another program, but i want to find out whats worng.. :/

Or just any suggestions? :)

wow that's some nice troubleshooting. first of all are you on the latest amd drivers for the r9 290. what storage are you using when hdd go bad they usually freeze and have problem before giving up.

No, i dont have last driver for my gpu, beause i the same happend to the newst driver, so i downgraded agian. I have 500gb ssd only, and sometimes my ssd goes from 1-3% to 30% but goes down agian 1 sec later?

my sister computer had a problem with it freezing after uninstalling kaspersky it suddenly stopped.

The only virus program i have is windows defender.. :/

update everything to the latest. just go to setting and press update.

msi afterburner is used to overclock gpu.

This is what someone said on a reddit thread...

"Some versions of Afterburner have conflicts with certain versions of CCC (catalyst control center). I had this happen numerous times on my radeon. You can try to completely uninstall afterburner, radeon drivers, ccc (preferably using DDU)

Then installing a different version of CCC, afterwards reinstall afterburner. If you do not have a radeon card then this still applies but I have not seen this issue on nvidia cards."

Something is conflicting with Afterburner....

Arrghh.. :( Its just wired? Because for like 1 month ago i never had problems with it? How?

Some kind of update was applied and that messed it up. Just forget about it, after all, MSI Afterburner isn't the best software to use with AMD GPUs IMO...

This is a software conflict. AMD's Catalyst Control Center/ Wattman (idk how they call it) is conflicting with MSI Afterburner. This causes a system freeze.
