Basically, make sure that your computer is connected to a router with gigabit ports or a gigabit switch and make sure that the link is connected to the switch/router with ethernet as well for best results.

Steam Link works over local infrastructure. The speeds your isp give you don't mean anything. You need a wired connection from your pc to your link, via switches (or in advanced cases a router)

I mean, you could rig it to work over the internet with a VPN and stuff... But the entire protocol they're using is totally not optimized for it and while you 'could' you also really 'shouldn't'. :x
