So I got a RX 480 and was just wondering what is a decent oc, since I keep hearing RX 480 sucks at oc.

I got

1380mhz core

1850mhz memory

no change in power limit

no change in temp

Just out of the box core and clock, and I kept the auto MSI RX 480 Gaming X stock fan curve.

You could probably push memory and core higher if you increased the power limit and made a custom fan curve. What are your temps?

Going by HWBOT: (Core/Memory)

Air: 1366MHz / 2280MHZ

Water: 1491MHz / 2104MHZ

Cascade: 1480MHz / 2247MHZ

LN2: 1654MHz / 2145MHZ

Right in between air and water. 2000MHz (8000MHz effective) on memory would be pretty cool though.

1450 on core

2060 memory

Can actually go to 2200 on memory and I can get 1500 on core but its not "stable" in most games.

For 100% stable I'm running 1430 and 2060, gw2 had some weird flickering occasionally at 1450.

BUT this was a very fast OC, I haven't played with voltage or anything yet, but you should note that I swapped TIM over to liquid metal, I don't really break 50c under load with fans running around 2200rpm, at stock fans stay off more than on lol.

Using Sapphire nitro+ rx480

Max 73celcius with the fan at about 20%

20% is way too low. What are you afraid of? Max out your curve at around 75% since the MSI cooler is really quiet. Move your power limit to the max and keep adding voltage as needed.

Just max out the power limit, voltage and fan speed, to see how far your card can go.

If you use MSI Afterburner, it only allows 100mv increase of core voltage. Which is 100% safe and no worry of damaging the GPU, as long as the temperature isn't too high.
