Need help with monitor

I have just built my first pc. I have the pc connected to the monitor with a dvi cable on the gpu. When I turn on the pc, and then the monitor, the monitor says "no connection". Can anyone help me with this?

 

Specs:

core i7 6700k

2x sapphire nitro+ rx480

Asus z170a

corsair vengeance LPX 2x8

Western digital blue 1TB HDD

Samsung 850 EVO 250gb

Rosewill hive 750

be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3

 

The monitor is the Acer H226HQL BID

which card you pluged into 1 or 2
