Hello!!

Getting my first build and after reading a lot, I still feel a little bit lost.

I've managed to create several variants and on the budget side I feel like the PC wouldn't be that good at gaming, and at the expensive side, I don't know if I'm investing quite well my money and feel a little bit worried about expending so much money.

I'm gonna use it to browse heavily, use really long spreadsheets, watch 1080p/4k series/movies, some light video editing and game Forza, Black Ops III, Battlefront and the likes.

I live in Spain and I'm using this website to create my build since they put it all together (please note that all prices are in euros and I'm limited to the options display on the website):

- Cheap Option: link

- Expensive option: link

Questions I have:

- Which pc should I buy? Is there an intermediate option which'd be better?

- Shouldn't I wait till 5th of January to get the kaby lake? Should I?

- I know Linus said the i5 6600K should be enough, but... really?

- I've read that the best value for money is to get a 1070, do you agree? is the 1060 good enough? I'd like to get a 4k Monitor, but I don't need to play in 4k

- Is the LG 27UD58-B 27" LED 4K  a good option or should i stick to a  Dell UltraSharp U2414H 24" ?

- Will the motherboards allow me to improve the pc in the coming years?

Feel free to ask me questions!

Thanks a lot and happy christmas!

Jose

Note that you can use pcparpicker.com, you can change the country to Spain. This should give you more options.

If you want to game on 4K/1440p I'd recommend you stick with the 1070 unless you want to cut detail down.

What is your budget?

If you really need a PC now, then you don't have to wait, just get it now.

It depends. What will you be doing with your PC? Pure gaming or a mix of content creation?

A GTX 1070 will play at 4K, but there's no need for such a resolution. The GTX 1070's sweet spot is at 1440p.

If you're getting a GTX 1070, go with either a 1080p 144 Hz monitor, or a 1440p 60 Hz monitor.

Yes, one such upgrade is multi-GPU setups such as SLI and Crossfire. More SATA connectors also means you can add more SSDs and HDDs in the future. If the motherboard has an M.2 slot, you can add a M.2 SSD too.

My Daily Driver:

Acer Predator Helios 300
»« Intel Core i5-8300H »« 16GB DDR4 RAM »« NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB »« Silicon Power A60 512 GB M.2 SSD »«
Toshiba PC L200 1 TB HDD »« Microsoft Windows 10 Home »«

Do you have any recommendation in mind? I think the LG 4K monitor is 60 hz, so, that'd would work?
