i just want to know what it is, it isn't anything bad (to my knowledge) but everytime i shutdown or sleep my pc it does so normally apart from the leds on the case fans that sort of quickly blink once. I can also hear a click which i believe is coming from the psu as it is switching relays, am i correct? Also i didn't know where to put this post so sorry for just dumping it here.

My system does this as I have a Haswell CPU and a case that trips balls because the LEDs are supposed to flash when the PC is asleep but they can't get enough power delivered to them via the minor rails so the LED just gives up and the PSU clicks rather loudly.

TL;DR you're worrying over nothing :)

Can you describe a little more clearly with what's happening to your PC when shutting it down or putting it into sleep mode? The clicking part is likely normal - my power supplies makes a springy noise when the system shuts off.

Yeah the click is completely normal. The flashing lights are probably just from the PSU not shutting off instantly or something like that.

I'm not PSU expert -- maybe @STRMfrmXMN can explain what's going on.

Okay so the LEDs go off but then come back on just for a  split second, my psu is evga 750w g2.

Does this occur with the system LEDs as well?

It's not a big deal since nothing bad is happening I'd think.
